PRALINE COOKIES
½ lb butter 1 pinch salt
1 cup brown sugar (½ pkg) 1 Large Hershey Chocolate Bar (8 oz)
2 cup all purpose flour chopped nuts
1 egg yolk
1 teaspoon vanilla
Cream butter and sugar. Add egg yolk and beat until creamy.
Add: flour, egg, vanilla and salt. Pat dough flat in greased pan (12 X 18).
Bake at 350°F for 20-25 minutes. Place squares of chocolate bar evenly spaced on top of cooked batter and return to warm (hot) oven until chocolate becomes soft. Remove from oven and spread chocolate evenly over entire surface. Sprinkle nuts on top. Cut when cool (not cold).
