SIRLOIN STEAK SHISHKABOBS
This is a labor intensive effort. I usually buy sirloin steak and carve into bite size chunks. Marinade the chunks of beef in a mixture of Teriyaki Baste & Glaze tempered with some Pineapple Juice and/or Orange Juice. Save the marinade for basting the skewers while they are on the grill.
Cut a few Red Bell Peppers and Onions into bite size pieces. Load skewers with the meat and 2 or 3 vegetables, alternating until full. Other suggested items:
Mushrooms
Pineapple
Tomatoes
Bacon Slices
These skewers are a huge investment of time and money and should be slowly cooked over charcoal. Turn the skewers once in a while to get a coating on the entire skewer.
The idea is to get a sugary glaze on everything. The bite size beef and vegetables will be done enough by the time everything has a nice thick candy coating.
Serving suggestions: Everything is just too yummy to throw away. Have a bowl available for the picky eaters to throw the items they don’t want so others can still enjoy. Serve on a bed of rice. Garlic bread is also a good addition.
